Refunds.
How we handle them, why we handle them this way, and what's available instead. Honest, brief, and pinned to the same page so you can always find it.
§ 1The policy, plainly.
Themesmith doesn't offer refunds on completed subscription periods or on build packs once generation has started.If you cancel a subscription mid-month, the site keeps running until the period ends; we don't pro-rate the remainder. If you order a build pack and the site generates, the fee is non-refundable.
Site Rescue is the same shape.If you pay for a rescue and then change your mind before we've started reading your site, we refund in full — one click in the wizard. The moment we begin extracting your content, the rescue is non-refundable: by then we've already paid the crawl and analysis costs on your behalf.
The one clear exception: if a build fails for reasons within our control — and we can't deliver the site we promised — you're not charged for that build. A support ticket opens and a human follows up the next working day to put it right; in the rare case we genuinely can't deliver, we make it good. That commitment is also in Article I of our terms.
§ 2Why we don't.
Every site we generate is built on AI calls we've already paid for — typically several pounds' worth of compute per build, plus the hosting, the photography, the quality checks. Once that work is done, it's done. Refunding it would mean either (a) absorbing the cost and going under, or (b) raising prices on everyone to subsidise refunds.
We'd rather price transparently and stand behind the work. If a build comes out short of the standard we set, we'll fix it through the editor — that's included in your subscription, and you don't pay again for revisions.
§ 3What is available instead.
- Move tiers any time. Up or down. Pro-rated charge or credit on the next bill — no sales call, no friction.
- Upgrade your build pack. Bought a Homepage Pack and want more pages? Pay the difference to a Three-Page or Five-Page pack; we generate the extra pages on the same brief.
- Top-up credits. Need more Forge edits in a month than your tier allows? Top up for that month without changing tier.
- Cancel any time.Two clicks from your account. We don't hold your domain, your content, or your bill captive. Your site keeps running until the period ends, then we send a static archive.
§ 4Genuine edge cases.
We're a small team and we read every message. If something has gone wrong that isn't covered by the policy above — billing duplicate, account compromised, build that genuinely missed the brief — write to support@themesmith.ai and we'll look at it properly. Honest mistakes get an honest response.
