Your website on WhatsApp
A website you build and change on WhatsApp.
Tell us about your business in a chat and we build the website. After that, a change is a message: new prices, a photo of the latest job, a voice note from the van. You see every change before it goes live, and you put it live with one tap.
From £29 for a one-page site, paid once. Hosting is free for the first month, then £15 a month, which covers around ten small edits by message. ThemeSmith is a UK company; your domain is in your name.
How do you build a website on WhatsApp?
The same way you'd brief a person, one message at a time. You don't need photos, words or a logo to start: the words and photographs are made for you, and two logo designs come with every build.
Tell us about the business
In your own words, the way you’d tell a customer. Type it, or send voice notes and photos if that’s easier.
Answer a few questions
One at a time: who your customers are, what sets you apart, what the site should do, the area you cover.
Agree the pages and pay
We suggest the pages your business needs and show the price. You see the total and pay through a secure checkout link.
Choose a design and approve
Pick a design direction. Nothing is built until you approve, and your home page comes first.
How do you change it afterwards?
No editor, no login, no ticket. Before your first change you set a 6-digit PIN, so only you can change your site from your phone.
Send the change
“New Saturday hours, 9 till 1.” A photo of the finished job. A voice note from the van. A short video.
See it before anyone else
You get a picture of the changed page and a link to the draft. Visitors still see your live site.
Tap “Put it live”
Or “Change” to adjust it, or “Cancel”. When it’s live you get “Done, that’s live.” and a link to see it.
Change your mind
“Put it back” drafts the change in reverse, and you approve that the same way.
Can you change Saturday to 9 till 1 and add the van photo to the home page?
Here's your home page with both changes. Visitors still see your live site.
Done, that's live.
An illustration of the steps above; the wording in your chat will be your own.
What makes it different from a WhatsApp website bot?
- You see the change before your customers do. A picture of the page and a draft link come first, and nothing goes live until you tap “Put it live”.
- It's a designed website, not a template. It's built from your own words, with a design direction you choose and two logo designs.
- Your domain is in your name. Connect one you have or buy one in your dashboard; it stays yours.
- A UK company with a founder you can write to. Chris founded ThemeSmith after twenty years running web agencies, and email support is included on every plan.
- WhatsApp is one door, not the only one. Everything works in your dashboard too, so you're never stuck if you change phone.
What does it cost?
The build is £29 for the first page and £15 for each page after, paid once. Hosting is free for the first month, then £15 a month on Starter, with around ten small edits a month, or £39 on Business, with around thirty.
The credits for each change are shown before you approve it, and unused plan credits roll over. No contract and no setup fee. What a website costs, all the options →
Questions about WhatsApp
The quickest way to ask anything else is the same way: message us on WhatsApp ↗
- Can I really build a whole website on WhatsApp?
- Yes. You describe the business, answer a few questions, agree the pages, pay through a secure link and choose a design direction, all in the chat. Nothing is built until you approve, and the site goes live on your own domain.
- How do I change my website by WhatsApp?
- Send the change as a message, a photo, a voice note or a short video. You get a picture of the changed page and a link to the draft, then tap “Put it live”. Visitors keep seeing your live site until you do.
- How do you know the message is from me?
- Before your first change, you set a 6-digit PIN for your site and confirm it in the chat. Without it, nothing on your site can be changed from WhatsApp.
- Can I send voice notes?
- Yes, up to five minutes. We read back what we heard before anything is drafted, so a misheard word doesn’t end up on your site.
- What does a change cost?
- Changes come out of the credits in your monthly plan. A small edit, like a word, an opening time, a price or a photo, is about 15 credits, and Starter includes 150 a month. The credits for a change are shown before you approve it and only taken when you do.
- Is there anything I can’t do on WhatsApp?
- Laying out a whole page again is a bigger job than a message, so we flag it to a person instead of guessing. Words, prices, photos, videos, sections and menus are a message away.
- Do I have to use WhatsApp?
- No. Everything you can do on WhatsApp you can also do in your dashboard. Use whichever is nearer to hand.
