Restoration log · The first rescue on the books
Victory Consulting is a defence consultancy in Worthing — SC Cleared engineers and project managers serving the MoD and the defence industry. In July 2026 the firm became our first paid Site Rescue: seven pages surveyed, seven pages rebuilt, the director's own words carried through intact.
Victory Consulting supplies SC Cleared professional engineers and project managers to the UK Ministry of Defence and the defence industry — specialist resource for decision-making in the procurement and through-life support of defence equipment. A small firm with a serious client base, run from Worthing by its director.
Exactly the kind of business whose website carries more weight than it lets on: the people who land on it are deciding whether to trust the firm inside a defence programme. The substance was never in question. The site carrying it was.
The survey ran on Sunday 5 July 2026 — every page crawled, every asset catalogued, the whole site archived before a line of it was touched. These are the findings as recorded, reproduced with the client's consent.
The survey and the client agreed. By the director's own assessment the old site read as homemade — below the standard of the firm's work. A textbook rescue, in other words: the substance stays, because it was never the problem. The wrapper goes. Keep the words, replace the fabric.
No mock-ups and no retouching. Plate I pairs the survey's capture of the old homepage with the page as it serves today. Plates II and III set the old interior pages beside their restorations — each ‘as archived’ display is the Internet Archive's February 2024 record of the page, replayed through the old site's own builder and verified word-for-word against the July survey before being admitted to the file. Restoration is editing, not rewriting — the promise on the rescue desk's door, held to on its first paying client. Line by line, from the file:
The dates below are the dates on the record — survey to handover inside three calendar days, most of the making done on the Sunday it began.
The director's reaction on first seeing the rebuild: it looked great— and on the strength of it he agreed to put the firm's name to our first case study.
We won't dress that up as an enquiries-up-40% chart — the rescue is barely a week old. The honest outcome is the one you can see in the plates above: the same firm, finally carried properly. When there are numbers worth reporting, they'll be reported here.
If your site has fallen behind your business the way this one had, write us a brief and we'll survey it within the week — no charge, no obligation.
